Paul Brinkworth
Paul Brinkworth is a self-taught artist who grew up in East Aurora, NY. The Village and surrounding landscape inspired him to draw and paint at an early age, and develop a deep love and concern for our environment, both manmade and natural. Combining these interests, he chose to pursue architecture as a career, attending the Rhode Island School of Design, University of Toronto, and SUNY Buffalo. Accumulating over fifteen years’ experience in the design and construction industry, his professional work focused primarily on high-end residential projects. At mid-career, through repeated encouragement of clients, friends, and family, he transitioned into teaching, getting a Master’s in Education. A catalyst being the meaningful sharing of knowledge and experience about the design process with others, combined with a longing to return to painting, to capture the world he has seen and known all his life. These pursuits recently lead to creating figurative bronze sculpture, a new and exciting medium for him. He has been awarded and recognized in painting, sculpture, architecture, and teaching.
