The Arts and Craftsmen Guild on the Historic Roycroft Campus is pleased to announce the award of our annual art scholarship. The winner is Amy McFeely. A resident of East Aurora, and senior at Iroquois High School, class of 2019, Amy intends to study interior design as she heads off to college. Amy has participated in all of Iroquois’ art shows, as well as the Congressional Art Show, and received glowing praise from Art Educator Mrs. Susan Payne. Mrs. Payne praised Amy’s extraordinary art skills as well as her work ethic and states that she’s loved by her peers. In her essay prepared for the scholarship competition, Amy states that she will be working toward an Interior Design degree, and says that she gravitates toward clean, modern styles. She plans to attend Rochester Institute of Technology, and is hopeful that her co-op experiences there will allow her to secure a position working in the Buffalo area. Amy was presented her award in the Power House on the Roycroft Campus on June 10, 2019. Presenters were Guild Steering Committee members Yvonne Stoklosa and Jack Thiesen. Other Steering Committee members were on hand to witness the presentation, and the recipient was accompanied by family. Congratulations to Amy. The Guild hopes that she will find much success, and we are happy to be a small part of her journey toward an artistic career!
