Yvonne Stoklosa

Yvonne has been creating with her hands her whole life.  Art and math being her favorite subjects led to completing a Masters in Architecture while working as an Interior Designer.  Yvonne came about “doing” stained and fused glass over 2 decades ago by taking a night class while staying home to raise her children.  Her original designs in glass incorporate painting and fusing techniques with traditional Tiffany style stained glass.  Design inspiration comes from Nature and the built environment. Yvonne is fortunate to have a studio space on the historic Roycroft Campus, home of the American Arts & Crafts Movement.  She is also a founding member of the Arts & Craftsmen Guild at Roycroft. Her work has taken many awards at Art Shows and is in private collections all over the world.

 

My Professional objective is:

Continue designing and creating using cold-worked and kiln-formed glass as a medium with metal joinery.  Maintain excellence in both creative design and craftsmanship following Roycroft ideals.  Expand the parameters of stained glass using innovative ideas with simplistic elegance.
