2025 Meeting Schedule

These meetings are held in the Powerhouse on the Roycroft Campus.  They are open to all members and the general public.

 

January 9th, 6:30pm - Planning Meeting

February 13th, 6:30pm - Panel Discussion with Q&A on doing art shows. To be covered - jurying, applications, booth setup.

March 13th, 6:30pm - Suzanne O'Brien, Fiber artist with demo on wet felting.

April 10th, 6:30pm - Group discussion on art and business.

May 8th, 6:30pm - Kath Schifano - Plein air artist: 

Working outdoors year-round, my plein air paintings capture the quality and beauty of Western New York and my travels.  Creating with oils and pastels on site allows the artwork to communicate the feeling and nature of the day it was created, the weather, the light, and the location. The act of pushing around pigments to create an artwork lifts me into a place away from daily activities and errands.  As an artist I remain outdoors painting for hours, hearing leaves, birds, and distant train whistles. I take pleasure in the weather, the whimsies of nature, observing our natural environment and capturing my chosen composition.

 

As a Board Member of International Plein Air Painters, the Niagara Frontier Plein Air Painters, and the Buffalo Niagara Art Association, my oil and pastel work is in public and private collections in 35 states and on 4 continents.

October 9th, 6:30pm - Dan Sundell - Discuss connection between art and chocolate with chocolate tasting.

November 13th, 6:30pm - Cindi O'Mara

December 11th 6pm - Annual Holiday party and gathering.
